Schools team up for holiday season toy drive

International College graduate Kadian Smith-Taylor said in tough economic times, there are a number of parents who are not able to provide presents to their children. As a result, students at the International College of the Cayman Islands and Triple C School have teamed up for a toy drive, to deliver Christmas gifts to over 200 children. 
"We are excited about this toy drive because it gives less fortunate children an opportunity to enjoy Christmas and the joy it brings," Ms Smith Taylor said. "Christmas is the season for giving and ICCI is pleased to be part of this initiative to provide these young people with Christmas gifts so they can appreciate the season."
The toys will be distributed during a Christmas party for children at the Windsor Park playground on Sunday, 15 December from 10am to 2pm. 
Organizers for the Christmas party are also asking for 30 to 60 volunteers to help with games, face painting, serving of refreshments and handing out toys.
