The Tourism Attraction Board has unveiled its new website, www.tab.ky, as part of a new digital marketing initiative for the agency and the four attractions and national festival it manages - the Queen Elizabeth 11 Botanic Park, Pedro St. James Castle, Hell, Cayman Craft Market and Pirates Week Festival.
The home page features images of the four attractions and national festival, and a photo gallery on the press room page highlights a wide range of scenes from various events.
Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Attraction Board Mr. Gilbert Connolly said the launch of the new website marks a new and exciting direction for the board.
"The travel trade industry and vacationing consumers are all using new technologies, websites, social media and social networks to plan their travels and to share their vacation experiences," Mr. Connolly stated.
In addition, Mr. Connolly noted that the websites for the Botanic Park and Pedro Castle will be revamped, and new web pages created for the Cayman Craft Market.

Selecting the best place to put your home gym or personal workout space is equally as essential as choosing the best equipment. The most important thing is to make the area inviting.

Paint is a good way to make your home gym more inviting, it is inexpensive and can really make a difference, choose your favorite color and add good lighting so that you can see what you are doing.

Put the gym in a space that will keep you active and motivate you to go back and work out more.

Would you like fitness videos, or Wii? Purchase a good, well-situated TV, as well as an equally good audio system, so that you can play what's going to keep you motivated to help keep working out. Have controllers available for everything.

If you are planning to follow fitness dvd's, videos or a games console, purchase a tv with good picture and sound. Ensure the tv is in the correct position for you to have a comfortable work out and keep remote controls nearby.

1. Strength-building: You no more require a large rack full of different weights. Instead purchase hand weights that can be weight-modified with a click. Add an ab machine and the bench press if you wish to get serious.

2. Cardio and Heart Rate: Portable fitness options and small add-ons will help you go that bit further. Elliptical machines are compact, lightweight, and store easily under desks or perhaps in a closet. It is also possible to purchase folding treadmill machines and bikes, too.

3. Flexibility and Balance. Resistance bands are an affordable, effective choice for muscle firming. Balance balls work your core. And for something a little different, consider purchasing a T'ai Chi work out dvd.

4. Mind. Work body and mind simultaneously with music or perhaps a favorite interactive video. Purchase a good mat, one which does not emit a strong odor, and consider the color too. Coordinate your equipment using the hues of the workout space. Would you perform best in a vibrant, energizing atmosphere, or are you better off in a soothing, Zen-like atmosphere? Hang some mirrors and inspirational images to inspire you.

5. Safety. A non-slip, padded surface underfoot is important. Have enough space to extend your legs and arms without knocking items off the tables. Have a telephone nearby for emergencies. Make a portable first-aid box, with gel ice and Band-aids. And ensure any moving equipment you purchase comes with an auto-stop safeguard.

Typically it is advisable to put your workout area in a part of the home you like to spend most of your time, and it is usually best to put it in the corner of a living room than in the bedroom as that's where you go to sleep. If you are strapped for cash, you can still create a good workout area by purchasing a couple of mats and weights. There are plenty of workout programs on tv to join in with each day.

When you are considering purchasing real estate, condos provide an affordable option to single-family houses in many areas. They're perfect for people who like a maintenance-free lifestyle. But before buying, ensure you must do your legwork. Here are some fundamental points to consider:

*Storage. Some condos have storage lockers, However you will not usuall find any basements or attics to store your extra possessions.

*Outdoors space. Yards and outdoor areas are often smaller in condos, if you enjoy relaxing in a garden or entertaining friends outdoors, a condo may not be the ideal place for you. However if you dread working in the garden, this may be the perfect option for you.

*Amenities. Many condos have pools and fitness centers, together with other facilities that would otherwise be very pricey in a family home.

*Maintenance. Many condos have on-site maintenance personnel to take care of communal areas, carry out repairs within your unit, and let in workers when you're not home - very good news if you travel a lot.

*Security. Keyed entries and security personnel are common in many condos. You're also closer to others just just in case of emergency.

*Reserve funds and association payments. Although these payments generally go towards amenities and offer savings for future repairs, you will have no option but to pay the fees determined by the condo board whether you are interested in the amenity or not.

*Resale. The simplicity selling your unit may depend on what other condos are for sale within your building, due to the fact that all units are usually similar.

*Condo rules. Although there is a residents election, the rules of the managing association will affect how you use your condo. For instance some do not allow home businesses, others prohibit pets while others do now allow owners to rent out their condos. Ensure you are fully aware of all the restrictions before you make the decision to purchase.

*Neighbors. You're much closer to others in a condo. wherever possible, make an effort to meet your nearest prospective neighbors.

Thanks to the supporters of the National Trust for the Cayman Islands, the popular summer camp will be back this year.
"We are excited to be able to offer our camp this year despite being short staffed, if even for just a week," said National Trust General Manager Christina McTaggart.
The young campers will have the chance to bug out on bugs, learning about Cayman's smaller-sized inhabitants in fun and eye-opening way. Children will also be getting up close and personal with blue iguanas and butterflies on a field trip to the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park and take part in a historic scavenger hunt in George Town.
Although they did not have enough of its own staff to run the camp, the trust was fortunate, that some qualified volunteers stepped forward to provide the manpower to make this much-loved summer tradition a reality in 2012.
The camp cost of $175 per week for members and $200 per week for nonmembers includes all field trips, crafts and snacks, though campers must bring their own packed lunch.

Hotels and attractions in the Cayman Islands are preparing 'staycation' offers, for local residents to come and join the tourist experience.
The programme is coordinated by the Cayman Islands Tourism Association, the nonprofit body which represents more than 200 tourism-related businesses from water sports and attractions to accommodations and restaurants.
Harry Lalli, president of the association said,, "It began four years ago when the economy crashed, so the Cayman Islands Tourism Association looked for a way to increase business for its members during the already notoriously slow season. The staycation promotion was the solution. It's a sink or swim situation for local businesses, deeply discounting gives residents an opportunity to enjoy their own piece of paradise, while allowing for businesses to thrive locally, which is a win-win for everyone."
Jane van der Bol, executive director of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association, added, "I just recently had a much needed staycation with my daughter. It allowed me a chance to spend some time with her without the distraction of work, errands and to-do lists," she said. "We were both able to just enjoy each other and shut off for the long weekend, which we don't often have time to do."
